NHAI Implements Revised Toll Rates Across Select National Highways

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has introduced revised toll charges across multiple national highways and expressways as part of its annual review of road maintenance and infrastructure development.

According to NHAI, the updated toll structure reflects increased costs associated with highway upkeep, safety upgrades, and the expansion of FASTag-based electronic toll collection systems. The authority said the revision is necessary to support ongoing investments in India’s highway network.

The new rates affect private vehicles, commercial trucks, and intercity buses using designated highway corridors. Some routes may see slight increases, while others may offer distance-based benefits for frequent FASTag users.

NHAI stated that the revised toll framework is intended to improve road quality, reduce congestion, and ensure long-term sustainability of the national highway system.

The new toll rates have now come into effect on applicable routes.
